A storehouse of knowlegde on ancient bandishes. One of the most erudite musicians of his time. Few recordings remain of Ustad Rahimuddin Dagar. He was fortunately recorded by the Lucknow station of All India radio. On the first offering, raga Adbut Kalyan, he is accompanied by Ahmedjan Thirakwa on tabla. On the second, raga Puria, Girija Shankar is on pakhawaj.

The adhbut Kalyan is not by Rahimuddin Khansaheb, but rather his son Fahimuddin.
